Employee of the Month!
board, positive, well done-2470544.jpg

  1. What do you do when you’re not at QSG?: “I’m an aspiring motorcycle mechanic and love to tinker with anything that can be tinkered. Although I guess by tinkering I mostly mean fixing things I’ve broken… usually by unnecessarily tinkering with them.”
  2. Do you have any pets? Care to tell us more?: “I have a lovely old cat named Kitty. She might be grayer in the fur, but she’s still a firecracker of a cat! We have the pleasure to live with a couple of awesome tiny dogs too, Echo and Penny. I’m always trying to add more animals to the family zoo.”
  3. If you could add one thing to QSG’s office, what would it be?: “A toaster oven. Hear me out, crispy freezer foods. No soggy microwave ones. Could be a good thing.”
  4. Favorite lunch spot?: “I like taking my lunch box to a nice park bench with good shade and a breeze.”

National Punctuation Day – September 24th

All over the country, punctuation events test skill, educate and even make fun of those embarrassing errors.

The founder of this National day sends out a challenge every year.  Visit Jeff Rubin’s website to enter the contest.

Fun Fact: Auburn Elementary School of Auburn, MI celebrates the observance annually.

HOW TO OBSERVE
#NationalPunctuationDay

What’s a better way to celebrate punctuation than by using it? Look for unique ways to punctuate your sentences. You can also try a few of these suggestions:

-Spend the day critiquing others’ mistakes. Or, carefully correct your own
-To avoid punctuation altogether, just complete crossword puzzles all day. They don’t use any punctuation
-Write an error-free email and send it to everyone you know – OR – write an email with a single error and challenge your friends to find it
-Express how you feel about the evolution of punctuation into emojis. 😉

We all make mistakes, and while some mistakes we find humorous, some are costly to relationships or the bottom line.

Practice proper punctuation and properly post it using #NationalPunctuationDay on social media.
